Kilusang Kontra Kuto by Licealiz now on its 4th year

It was about at this time last year when I participated in Kilusang Kontra Kuto (KKK) led by Licealiz Head Lice Treatment Shampoo. We went to a public elementary school at the northern part of Davao City in Toril for a shampooing activity and informative discussion in preventing/fighting against head lice or nits (kuto) infestation .

Now, on KKK’s 4th year, Lamoiyan Corporation continues its advocacy for a kuto-free Philippines with an aim to shampoo  around 6,000 students in 30 schools all over the Philippines. It has once again partnered with the Dept. of Education (DepEd), Drugstore Associations of the Phils (DSAP) and Mommy Bloggers Philippines.

Here in Davao City, I am so pleased to be part for this worthwhile project for the second time.

This time, we visited a Cesareo Villa Abrille Elementary School in Barangay Bucana. It is situated at the downtown area.

Together with other mommy bloggers, I was excited to witness the activity where pupils, along with their parents and teachers can learn how to finally break free from this perennial hair health problem. Kids lined up and took turns to avail of the free shampooing activity. We really saw how their hair got a fresh and minty treat while saying goodbye to this itchy hair menace we often call kuto, lisa/lusa or kuyumad.

To make the activity more exciting, the young ones had fun games and prizes. They also did some art works to pass the time while waiting for the shampoo to be effectively absorbed by their hair and scalp.

At the end of the program, they were given free samples of Licealiz shampoo sachets to bring home.

Not only that, they learned proper hygiene practices and health tips to avoid having head lice in their respective households from Dr. Ana Liza Lanuza, a family doctor.

For this year’s campaign, KKK reminds us that EVERYONE can have head lice regardless of hair length, gender, age and social class. Meaning, even those who practice proper hygiene may still get this if they come in close contact with the personal things used by the infested person such us cap, pillow/blanket, hair accessories or comb.

Licealiz Head Lice Treatment Shampoo is tested and proven safe for children and adults. It comes in 10ml. sachets for only Php14.50 each and in 60ml bottle at Php74.00. It is advised to initially shampoo hair with Licealiz two times a week, then use it once a week for prevention.
