An Extra Sarap Summer in Davao at the Jollitown Funtasy Land

Last Saturday, May 9,  I excitedly brought my daughter Mikkie and her cousins Lara and Andie to a big event sponsored by Jollibee,  the Jollitown Funtasy Land.  The Jollitown Funtasy Land caravan made its way down south at the SMX Convention Center in SM Lanang Premier, Davao City  from 9AM-2PM and 3-8PM. It gave Jollibee Kids Club members and non-members in Davao an enjoyable experience of  an extra sarap summer. Jollibee prepared hours of fun for energetic young Davaoeños, who slid their way to an exciting experience at the Rainbow Slide and enjoyed bouncing around at the Jollibee House. Their adventure continued as they scaled new heights with the Dingdangdong Clingers and met magical characters at the Enchanted Maze. Making the Jollitown Funtasy Land caravan even more unforgettable for Jollibee Kids Club members was getting a chance to showcase their talents. They sang to their heart’s content and made […]

Dubbed as Passionalism: An Exhibit of the Barong Davaoeño, the exhibit at the mall’s Atrium features Arch. Dakudao’s elegant collection of the Philippine national attire for men, the Barong Tagalog. It aims to rekindle the love for the Philippines and encourage appreciation for our very own national costume. Architect Dakudao  has been featured in many publications for his admirable passion for collecting Barong Tagalog, especially those made from sinamay and piña, decorated with handsewn embroidery. The Apo View specially takes pride in its employees who serve as its backbone in providing guests with world class experience that is truly and distinctively from Davao. My Hodgy Podgy Self – Second Serving

I find it a bit self-serving writing about myself, which explains the reason why it took me awhile to write a follow up article..( Sheesh, good excuse eh) Anyways, I just had a busy week and am glad Christmas is almost here. ( wow, see i wrote this in draft coz its almost March now, lol!) I had a mini reunion with family and relatives during my sister’s wedding last weekend. The thought poked me to write about the pieces about me again: 4. the Daughter – i tend to be stubborn, do things on my own but end up being the good girl at day’s end and follow parent’s orders. Till now that Mom’s a widow and sick and almost at her bed all the time, I still have that kind of fear in me to disappoint her and not hurt her very sensitive feelings especially now. ~~~guess am […]

Anarky’s Poetry

Good friends can be can be hard to find, you never know where you will meet one, it can take some time. When you meet them it can be happenstance, but, if you never try you might miss the chance. This is a peom about a girl named Anna Louise, a strong, bright, cute one of these. What can I say about this philippine beauty? She is opinionated and strong, but still quite the cutie. I could say she’s a real go-getter! She can grab you a coffee and type while you dictate a letter! But, I wish Not to diminsh her worth with male chauvinist platitudes, I do intend to however laud her attitude. She will let you know if you are being a jerk, but will still remain calm, how does that work? If ever there was a person worth knowing, I will tell you now with a […]

Mafia Wars: Some Random Thoughts of Louise, Maniac, Lvl 701

Facebook gives me the creeps. Both in a good and bad way. Well, good news first, it sucks up idle time and keeps the sleepyhead in me up on my toes till the wee (and unholy) hours of the morning. Aside from the given plus of FB as we  all know, connecting friends, classmates, cousins, strangers for games and all the connections possible under the sun, I realized I could play a computer game. Well, I did level up a few back then in a couple of Nintendo Game and Watch games called Egg and Donkey Kong but that was it.  A few years after that, with the now relic thing called family computer, I was also unsuccessfully desperate  to save the princess in Mario Bros. Then there was Ice Climber, LOL, that game was so funny I would always fall through the layers of ice before I reach the […]
