Filipinos can now enjoy Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and Maker content via video-on-demand, interactive content and promotions on mobile and broadband Last week, I attended an important event as Globe Telecom made a big reveal on its multi-year collaboration with The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia. Last Saturday, May 9, I excitedly brought my daughter Mikkie and her cousins Lara and Andie to a big event sponsored by Jollibee, the Jollitown Funtasy Land. The Jollitown Funtasy Land caravan made its way down south at the SMX Convention Center in SM Lanang Premier, Davao City from 9AM-2PM and 3-8PM. It gave Jollibee Kids Club members and non-members in Davao an enjoyable experience of an extra sarap summer. Jollibee prepared hours of fun for energetic young Davaoeños, who slid their way to an exciting experience at the Rainbow Slide and enjoyed bouncing around at the Jollibee House. The Search for the Happiest Pinoy 2015, a nationwide campaign of Cebuana Lhuillier is now currently accepting nominations. This was announced when I attended the Davao roadshow earlier this month. Big prizes are at stake for the winners which will be announced this June. The Happiest Pinoy grand winner gets 1 Million pesos in cash while nine (9) runners-up will get ₱50,000 each. What started out as an idea to create shirts for bookworms, has finally marked its 2.5K followers for The Dream Shirt after a year of operating online. With more and more fangirls and fanboys finding out about the online shop, The Dream Shirt is planning to have its relaunch come 2015, which includes creating a line for locally published books, releasing more collections, and a collaboration giveaway with Fandom Trinkets PH. RisingStars Philippines, the country’s newest and biggest talent competition is going around the country to reach out to the entire nation in search for new rising stars. Auditions in Davao city are now ongoing at NCCC Mall and select schools and barangays. RisingStars Philippines and Kapatid Network TV5, in cooperation with Jumpstart Productions, have joined forces to launch a new singing and reality TV talent search that would embark on a nationwide search for the best-of-the-best singing talents all over the Philippines to represent their home city or province.
